Saatica Privacy Policy
Effective 3 November 2026
On this page
This policy applies to Saatica for macOS and to this website, saatica.webmeister.org. Both are published by Can Burak Sofyalioglu (“I”, “me”). Contact: [email protected].
In short: Saatica keeps its settings on your Mac, has no account, collects no analytics and has no networking code. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
1. What is stored on your Mac
Saatica stores your settings in the app’s preferences. They are: the clock face you chose, your favourites, your colour changes for each face, the layout options (scale, framed or edge to edge, 12- or 24-hour time, seconds), burn-in protection, the idle saver time, shuffle, the multi-display option and the desk clock options.
The Mac App Store edition runs in the macOS app sandbox, so these preferences live inside the app’s own container. Clocks you build with the clock builder stay in the app while it runs and are never sent anywhere.
To start the idle saver, Saatica asks macOS how long it has been since your last key press or mouse movement. It uses only that length of time. It does not record or read what you type or click, and it does not store the answer.
If you turn on Launch at Login, macOS records that Saatica is a login item. You can review it under System Settings › General › Login Items.
I do not receive any of this. It stays on your Mac.
2. Network
Saatica contains no networking code and does not request the macOS entitlement that a sandboxed app needs for outgoing connections. It does not send your settings or any other information off your Mac, and it does not check for updates itself.
The Help menu has items that open the website, this policy, the support page and the terms in your web browser. Your browser, not Saatica, makes that request. The same applies to the designer links shown with some clock faces.
3. No account, no tracking
- Saatica has no account and no sign-in.
- Saatica uses no analytics, advertising identifiers, tracking or third-party SDKs. Its privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data.
- Saatica has no crash-reporting service of its own. Crash reports that macOS creates are controlled by you in System Settings and are not sent by Saatica.
- I do not sell or share personal data, because I do not receive it.
4. This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics, no trackers and no embedded content from other sites. It uses no external fonts or scripts.
Like any website, the company that hosts it may keep standard server logs, such as the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser name, for security and operation. I do not use these logs to identify or follow visitors.
5. Support email
If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write or attach. I use it only to answer you and to fix the problem you describe. I keep support emails for up to 12 months after the last message in the conversation, then delete them. I do not add you to any mailing list.
6. Children
Saatica is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
7. Deleting your data
- On your Mac: remove Saatica from the Applications folder. For the Mac App Store edition, macOS keeps the app’s preferences in its container, in the folder ~/Library/Containers/org.webmeister.saatica. Move that folder to the Trash to delete your settings. If you turned on Launch at Login, turn it off first.
- Support email: write to the address below and ask me to delete the conversation earlier. Because I hold nothing else, there is nothing more for me to delete.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, I will change the effective date above and, for a material change, say so on this page before it applies.
9. Contact
Can Burak Sofyalioglu, [email protected]. For help with the app, see the support page.
